Merritt Island has played with confidence on both sides of the ball and now travels to Ponte Vedra looking to keep its perfect record intact. #2 Melbourne (1-1) vs. Winter Springs (0-2); The Bulldogs enter Week 3 looking to bounce back after their loss to Merritt Island and they’ll be doing it without their starting quarterback. Melbourne will need its defense and running game to step up while the offense adjusts to a new signal caller. Despite the adversity, we expect the Bulldogs to respond at home and get back in the win column. Pick: Melbourne by 14
#3 Eau Gallie (1-1) at Seminole (2-0); This is one of the more intriguing matchups of the week. Eau Gallie has already shown it can compete with the best in the area, but Seminole enters undefeated and playing with plenty of confidence. Expect a physical game that could come down to the fourth quarter. Pick: Seminole by 7
#4 Titusville (2-0) vs. Spruce Creek (1-0); Titusville is off to a perfect 2-0 start, but the Tigers face a serious challenge against an undefeated Spruce Creek team. This has the makings of a defensive battle with the momentum swinging throughout the night. We’re giving the edge to Spruce Creek in a close one. Pick: Spruce Creek by 3
#5 Cocoa (0-1) at Newberry (0-2); Don’t let the records fool you. Cocoa remains one of the most talented teams on this list. The Tigers are coming off a tough opening loss and now travel to Newberry looking for their first win of the season. With Newberry still searching for its first victory, expect Cocoa to come out aggressive and make a statement. Pick: Cocoa by 14

Fort Pierce Central is coming off a win and will have the advantage of confidence and momentum. The Raiders have plenty of talent, but FPC gets the nod in what should be another competitive matchup. #12 Satellite (3-0) vs. Seabreeze (2-0) THURSDAY NIGHT; Satellite has been one of the biggest early-season stories in Brevard. The Scorpions enter Thursday night’s matchup undefeated at 3-0 and face another unbeaten opponent in Seabreeze. This should be a physical battle between two teams that have gotten off to impressive starts.We’re sticking with the home team in a close one. Pick: Satellite by 7
#13 Space Coast (2-1) vs. Celebration (0-2); Space Coast has already picked up two wins and looks to continue building momentum against a Celebration team still searching for its first victory. The Vipers should have the advantage on both sides of the ball and have an opportunity to put together a convincing performance. Pick: Space Coast by 10
#14 Bayside (2-1) at Hardee (3-0); Bayside hits the road against an undefeated Hardee squad. The Bears have played well enough to earn a 2-1 record, but Hardee has yet to taste defeat.
