Melbourne Central Catholic (MCC) has successfully navigated the first round of the FHSAA Class 1A Playoffs, keeping Brevard County’s playoff dreams alive in the smallest classification. However, the road gets significantly tougher immediately, as the Hustlers now face one of the state’s most dominant programs in the Regional Semifinals.​Class 1A Playoff Road: How MCC Got Here​The Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers (3-7), ranked No. 14 in Florida Division 1A by MaxPreps, earned a tough home win to secure their spot in the next round.​

Regional Quarterfinal Recap​ The Hustlers hosted District 6 rival Orlando Christian Prep (OCP) last Friday. In a defensive struggle, MCC’s defense proved superior, holding OCP to a 21-4 victory.​

Offensively, the ground game was crucial, with Noah Flores rushing for 164 yards (9.1 yards per carry), leading the team to a total of 210 rushing yards—a significant improvement from their early season average.
