WK8 RANKINGS & PREDICTIONS

The Rankings for Brevard County have been a source of debate the past couple weeks with MaxPreps, BSN, Space Coast Daily, BigHitsLive, and 321Recruits all with different results. It’s tough to rank these teams this season who have such parity and all seem to defeat each other. One thing for certain it will all be sorted in the next couple weeks with the FHSAA rankings.

The most important rankings will be the FHSAA rankings which no one understands. Last season teams were rewarded for scheduling tough games against state powers, but this season, it seems the system rewards wins regardless of the opponent. This has caused a shake up in the playoff picture that will have some traditional powers across all classifications sitting out while an undefeated Rudy-poo will host as the higher seed. Brevard County teams must now win their districts to lockup a playoff spot. The other at-large spots will be determined by FHSAA rankings which has not provided much transparency. This week is especially important in Brevard because the district runner-up may end up missing the playoffs.
