Cocoa Edges Calvary Christian in OT, Faces Bradford for the Region Championship. The Cocoa Tigers, driven by their quest for a fourth straight state title and eighth overall, are proving they can win anywhere. After a demanding road schedule, the journey continues away from home.​ Last week, the Tigers survived a dramatic 34-33 overtime thriller against Calvary Christian. Now, they hit the road again, traveling to Starke this Friday to meet the Bradford Tornadoes in the Class 2A Region 2 Final.

The Tigers are 3-0 vs Bradford in their last playoff meetings. ​This playoff game is a rematch of the August Kickoff Classic, which Cocoa won 16-7 at home. However, both teams have significantly improved since that early-season test.​Cocoa enters with high momentum after showcasing incredible depth and championship resilience in the OT battle. Known for their explosive speed and offense, the defending champions are leveraging their experience to navigate tense postseason moments.​

Bradford, however, is a major threat at home. Supported by one of North Florida’s loudest crowds, the Tornadoes rely on physical play and disciplined defense, making their home field a difficult environment for opponents.​This playoff run holds extra significance as it coincides with the 100th Anniversary of Cocoa Football.
